Beautiful property with lots of historical features. Well equipped and perfect base to explore the local area. We had one small dog with us that had a great time searching around the grounds. Only downside was that there was no safe enclosed area to let her off the lead but she still enjoyed herself. Property has wifi, which was super handy as therRead moree was no phone signal until you travelled out of the area. Would definitely recommend to stay here if your looking to visit the area. Hide

What a beautiful and well presented accommodation. We arrived and wasn't too sure what to expect but it was ideal for us both and our 2 dogs. There was a walled rear garden which was secure for the dogs to do their business and the fact that most of the floors inside the building were stone was ideal. It was a perfect location too and steeped in hiRead morestory and the local village pub "The Mill Race" served excellent food and had a fabulous atmosphere. The cottage was stunning. Very comfortable and welcoming. We think the sofa could be a bit bigger in the Charlton cottage but it still works

This is a lovely place to stay - beautifully designed to maintain the character of the old building, but with all modern comforts. It is well placed to explore the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean and for some great walks. The Inn on the Wye is nearby, though the walk along the main road is not pleasant. You do need to book as they will turn you aRead moreway if they are busy. The cafe on site is good but only open at weekends. There's no shop nearby. But highly recommended. Hide

Fantastic property, fully equipped, description doesn't do it justice! It was a pleasant surprise to find tea, coffee, sugar, kitchen roll, foil, cling film, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Hand soap, toilet roll and washing up liquid too. Hair dryer, black out blinds, comfy bed and good quality duvet, excellent storage. Well maintained, clean, lovelRead morey grassy area for the dog to run around. It's a shame there isn't more close by, no pavement mean't we couldn't walk to Ross On Wye. Hide
