Hay-on-Wye is a 5-mile drive away, famous for books and its vibrant festival that takes place every May. It is also an ideal place to visit for some retail therapy or to challenge your inner thrill-seeker by booking an activity at the outdoor adventure centre, 4 miles away. Venturing further afield, the Brecon Beacons highest point Pen y Fan is easily reached within 12 miles, within the Brecon Beacons you can walk, cycle or even pony trek across the beautiful landscape.

Step inside to discover a homely and inviting property, which has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a family holiday. A cosy lounge provides the perfect setting for relaxing evenings curled up on the sofas for a family film night. Gather around the dining table for meals, or perch with a pot of tea and a few board games on blustery, cold days. Pick up delicious produce from one of the local villages, transforming it into a hearty feast in the galley-style kitchen which is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, downstairs bathroom with shower and WC. Climb the stairs to find the elegant bedrooms – two doubles and one twin – and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

This cottage was very comfortable. It was smartly and comfortably furnished and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was very well equipped and we lacked for nothing. Excellent holiday in a superb location. Family had a wonderful time, walking up Pen y Fan, kayaking on river Wye, boating on canal, and more stunning walks!! Cottage is great, the owner is obviously a foodie, with every utensil you could need, plus some lovely lux touches: DAB radio in bathroom, le creuset kitchenware & Aesop hand wash.
