In a peaceful and secluded spot, this property shares a picturesque courtyard with a neighbouring barn, which can be booked together to sleep 12. Set out on foot to explore this western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, taking in the dramatic Black Mountains and Llyn y Fan Fach (9.5 miles), famous for its legend of the Lady of the Lake or stay closer to home and head to Carreg Cennen castle ( 4 miles ).If you want to adventure a little further head out in the car and visit the show caves at Dan Yr Ogof which is just a 30 minute car ride away. Stock up on supplies or enjoy a bite to eat in the market town of Llandeilo (6 miles) or spend a family day out at Usk Reservoir (13.5 miles), a wonderful spot for cycling, stone skimming, picnics, fishing and walking.

Inside, this tasteful barn conversion is warm and welcoming, with oak beams and flooring, exposed stonework, soft neutral decor and plenty of natural light throughout. Rustle up delicious family meals in the traditional kitchen, where you will find an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and oak dining table. Afterwards, step into the cosy sitting room, where two large sofas surround a wood burner and TV, perfect for relaxing nights in with the family. A sunny conservatory divides the two barns and offers a peaceful space in which to read in the afternoon. Upstairs are two delightful bedrooms, one double and one king-size, both of which boast matching oak furniture and wonderful rural views. The bedrooms share a fantastic bathroom with a corner bath and shower over the bath.

Outside, a sunny terrace with garden furniture and BBQ leads up to a raised lawn garden with pretty pots and tubs, perfect for dogs and children alike. A hot tub boasts breath-taking views across open countryside, the perfect way to soothe aching muscles after a long walk.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and has everything you would need. We really appreciated extra fire wood being dropped off as having a fire in the evening was a definite highlight

Beautiful peaceful cottage as soon as you drive up the country roads you enter relaxation we loved every second. I stayed with my mum and two children (aged 2 & 7) just perfect!

Spent a week and would happily have stayed longer. Highest standard indoors and the hot tub overlooking the valley the perfect way to end the day. Ammanford nearby has good services and HasBeanz cafe generous . Thoroughly recommend

This is a lovely, well-equipped cottage. There are many things to do in the area. The owner, Garry, is warm, welcoming and full of good advice (when asked) of where to go and what to do. We were a family of four (children aged 7 and 8) and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Beautiful secluded two bedroomed stone cottage. Beautiful views, private hot tub, red kite birds flying every day. Private patio. Star gazing on the patio, wonderful. Local village and Co Op. We visited, Cardigan Bay, different forests and country parks. A deer park as well. Brecon Beacons we visited were dog friendly everywhere. I cant thank Gary and his family enough for what they did for us, as my girlfriend and I arrived in the worst storm conditions in a long time. We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and cozy and in a lovely spot. A great view from the hot tub. Garry was a great host. We enjoyed our stay at Rhiannydd's Stable. Gary was very welcoming and gave us advice on where to shop and explore locally. What a wonderful, peaceful location and such comfortable accommodation. Perfect for a week away. We had a fantastic stay at Y Stabl! The cottage is very fully equipped. At this location, you really unwind. And it is a good base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The play barn and jacuzzi were a great one. And what an excellent host!

We rented both of the cottages and the linked conservatory between the two worked so well for us. The children loved the play barn and we all enjoyed the jacuzzis. We are all looking forward to a return visit.

We stayed at Rhiannydd's Barn last year, this year we hired both properties and again had a fantastic time. The properties provided the perfect space for our group to finish our festive season. They are well equipped, very clean and comfortable and Garry the owner is very friendly and helpful. The games barn provides a great activity for those wet Read moredays, and for the dry ones there is ample walking in the area that can be followed by a dip in the hot tub!
