Beautifully converted barn in the Ceredigion countryside - the perfect for spot to get away from it all and unwind.

The barn is situated on the outskirts of Llanilar - a small, peaceful village with a convenient shop, restaurant and bar, just 5 miles south of Aberystwyth. There is beautiful woodland and countryside walks available from your front door, the perfect place to enjoy some fresh air with your four-legged friends. If you head into Aberystwyth you will find an array of high street and independent shops, bars and restaurants. Take a stroll along its promenade or take a train trip on the Cliff Railway or visit The Vale of Rheidol Railway and take a train from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge to the three famous iconic bridges.

As you enter the property you are welcomed into an open-plan lounge and diner. The living area benefits from comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner, perfect for a romantic and cosy evening in. There is dining space for two, to relax around, enjoy a meal or a glass of wine after a day of exploring the local area and the woodlands. The contemporary kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. There is ample equipment to prepare a hearty breakfast to start off your day or rustle up an evening meal on your return. The shower room is also found on the ground floor with a double walk in shower and WC. The conversion has recently been completed in 2022, everything in the property has a fresh, contemporary feel. Head upstairs to the first floor where you will find the master bedroom. There is a double bed, a chaise lounge and storage space for your clothes and suitcases.

You will find a gravel, courtyard garden to front of the property with outdoor seating, should you wish to dine al fresco. The fully enclosed garden enjoys views out across the woodlands, allowing you to relax with your dogs off  the lead, if you wish. The property is accessible via an uphill path with several steps from your allocated parking space on the private roadside.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped barn conversion in a quiet and rural setting close to many attractions including Aberystwyth (short 15 min drive). Would definitely recommend or stay here again.

The barn was well equipped and in a very quiet location which we loved. It was very clean and Jonathon the owner was on hand to show us the workings of everything, also gave us information on walks and locations. The barn is located down a long track which having a 4/4 was a benefit, in saying that driven carefully any vehicle should be ok. Our recent 3 night stay in Wagtail Barn was fantastic! We loved the quiet location which was still only a short drive to Aberystwyth. The barn was such a wonderful place, which we couldnt fault in any way. The hosts were so welcoming and couldnt do enough for make our stay perfect!

We loved our stay, very clean with just about all home comforts supplied. If it wasnt as far for us to travel we would certainly return. Its quite remote if you like that, nearest shops about 10 minutes drive. Beautiful location and a great base to explore from and return to. The barn was well equipped with everything we needed. The barn itself is really well equipped, with everything you need for a peaceful holiday. There is a induction hob and oven, dishwasher, instant boiling water tap, wifi etc. Jonathan was very welcoming on arrival and explained how everything works. Wagtail Barn is a lovely place to get away from it all. It's clean, really comfortable and has everything you need, inc a 'welcome pack' of butter, milk etc, to have a fantastic holiday. Fantastic stay and the location is perfect as only 15 mins max away from Aberystwyth. The log burner is brilliant. Quooker tap is very convenient to have. Excellent Spacex Starlink Wi-Fi with fantastic download and upload speeds and worked for my whole stay. HD channels on the tv. Very silent and peaceful at night with owls twit twooing.
