Nestled at the foot of the Skirrid, on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax in the great Welsh outdoors. The area is also steeped in history with some of Europe’s finest surviving castles, Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle, a prominent feature within a small market town, or if you want more of an adventure try canoeing or kayaking on the River Wye. The area is also host to a vibrant events calendar to include Usk show and Abergavenny food festival.

Head inside the shepherds hut and you will find the lounge/diner and sleeping area with an inviting wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a day exploring the area. The lounge area has seating where you can relax and listen to music on the DAB radio or watch a film on the smart TV. There is a handy kettle and toaster in the  main hut whilst the separate kitchen with gas stove, microwave and fridge, is to the side in its own hut. In the evening snuggle up in the comfy double bed and look out at the stars. You will also find a shower room with shower and WC.  The property benefits from the luxury of under floor heating to keep you toasty during the chillier months.

After a day exploring why not enjoy a soak in your own private hot tub, there is also an area set with table and chairs for summer dining and a gas BBQ. There is allocated parking for one car. There is also a lovely tea room on site which is run by the property owners.

The property is absolutely fine, would be great in the summer, the problem is the location, no local pub to go to and the nearest town is a drive away, personally we like to leave the car from the minute we arrive, that is our personal preference and should not detract from a lovely site. one more point would be if there was a cooker there, there iRead mores only a hob and a microwave.
